Like many small business owners, Doug Sengelaub grew up in a family business learning the ropes
and developing his own ideas.

In 1996, he took those ideas and founded Douglass: a full service glass business in Cadillac.

“After working in my parents’ glass business, I wanted to branch out. I wanted to try things a different way and in a different area,” said Doug Sengelaub. “I saw a need in the Cadillac area for a full service glass shop.”

With the help and support of his wife, Melinda, Doug Sengelaub moved into the former Garn Glass building.

DouGlass was born!
